MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19)- A man is behind bars after leading police on a chase with two children inside the car.
Police say Roderick Robinson was driving on Roosevelt Boulevard when an officer pulled him over for not having a front license plate displayed. He stopped on nearby Wicoff Street, and as the officer exited the cruiser, he reportedly took off.
According to authorities, Robinson ran a stop sign at Hill Ave. and Moore St. during the chase, and eventually got out of the car and fled on foot.
Officers say that's when two children got out of Robinson's vehicle.
He was later located by police in the 1300 block of Grove Street and tazed after he refused to stop running. He was then arrested and taken to a Middletown jail.
Authorities uncovered two open beer bottles in the car, and found he was driving under suspension with a warrant through the Butler County Sheriff's Office.
