HAMILTON, OH (FOX19)- A Cincinnati man has taken a plea deal in a 2009 murder in Hamilton.
Corey White was arrested in April of this year for the murder of Steven Denmark. He was charged with murder, aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery.
Butler County Prosecutor Michael Gmoser has accepted a guilty plea of involuntary manslaughter, saying White helped name others involved and accepted responsibility for his conduct.
"I consider Cory White in this case to be an
apprentice killer and he claims to be a gofer and chauffeur at the behest of
others involved," said Gmoser. "Without his confession,
those others involved could not be held to account so it should be no surprise
that I agreed with the request of the detectives to permit a plea to involuntary
manslaughter with firearms specification in exchange for his truthful
confession to get the remaining killers off the street."
