
MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19)- A high school basketball court was dedicated to a local legend on Friday night.
Wade E. Miller Gymnasium court at Middletown High School was dedicated in honor of Middletown alum, Jerry Lucas.
Lucas is an NBA hall of famer, who played from the 1950s to the 70s on the Cincinnati Royals, San Francisco Warriors and the New York Knicks.
Middletown High School played Hamilton on Friday, and the 'Jerry Lucas Court' was dedicated between the junior varsity and varsity basketball games.
Lucas played at Middletown from 1956-1958. He was a three time, All-American at The Ohio State University, where he won an NCAA title. He played on the U.S. Olympic Team for the 1960 Rome Games.
On the NBA's 50th anniversary in 1996, he was named one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history.
