HAMILTON, OH (FOX19)- A man is behind bars for robbing a Hamilton gas station on Monday morning.
At around 12:45 a.m., Hamilton Police were called to the Speedway on Eaton Avenue on a report of a robbery.
The clerk working the store advised that a male in his 40's entered the store, approached the cash register and demanded the clerk open the register and give him the money inside.
Hamilton Police Patrol Officers were able to track the suspect to an address on NW Washington Boulevard. Delmar Whitesell, 35, was identified and charged with robbery and taken to the Butler County Jail.
In addition to several other arrests, Whitesell was most recently convicted for robbery with a deadly weapon in the Butler County Common Pleas Court in April of 2005. He was released from prison for this conviction in January of 2012 and was released from supervised patrol on March 19, 2013.
