MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19)- Olympic Gold Medalist Kayla Harrison has had surgery to repair her knee.
Harrison, 22, of Middletown, tweeted photos from the hospital on Thursday.
"The comeback has started," she wrote with a picture of her standing.
Harrison is the first American to win a gold medal in judo. She won the medal during the London 2012 games. She trains in Boston.
