HAMILTON, OH (FOX19)- A man reported missing in Hamilton after going fishing was found alive nearly three days later and severely dehydrated, police say.
Police say John Earl Watts, 48, told his family he was going fishing on Monday, June 8. He never came home and a missing person report was filed early Thursday.
Detectives began searching for Watts Thursday morning in Combs Park after pinpointing his general location by using GPS coordinates on his cell phone.
Authorities searched the park and found Watts in a secluded area near the river when they heard him yelling for help. Watts was then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to police, he was severely dehydrated and as a result, he was unable to say what led to his disappearance.
